Crast Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 September 2026

Who is behind Crast

The data controller and operator of Crast is Manuel José García Quijada, Spanish tax ID (NIF) 48904814Y, with an address at Calle Fernando Lázaro Carreter, 5, portal 2, 4.º A, 28806 Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, Spain. Kyd One Group is the operator's trading or project name, not an incorporated company. Crast is a personal organisation application. For privacy questions and support, email hello@kydonegroup.com with Crast in the subject. This policy covers the application. Browsing this website is covered by the corporate website privacy policy.

Your notes, on your device

The app stores your crast text, optional topics, dates, original week, colour, status, history and focused time locally. It also keeps preferences, timer state and technical data needed to save and recover your work. You can use these features without creating a Crast account. The app contains no advertising, cross-app tracking or usage analytics SDK.

Optional iCloud sync

When you enable iCloud in Settings, Crast sends tasks, topics, dates, statuses, history, accumulated time and your colour palette to the private CloudKit database associated with your Apple account. Technical note and sync identifiers help merge changes between devices. Crast does not ask for your Apple password. Reminders and the running timer stay on each device. Sync requires a connection, a compatible account and available iCloud storage; it may be delayed or fail.

Apple and your choices

Apple provides iCloud under its own terms and privacy policy. Crast does not send your notes to a Kyd One Group server or provide Kyd with administrative access to your private CloudKit database. Apple describes storage, infrastructure, possible international transfers and safeguards for its services in its privacy and iCloud documentation. Turning sync off stops new Crast exchanges but does not delete local data or the existing iCloud copy.

Dictation and permissions

The dictation button requests microphone and speech-recognition permissions. It requires on-device recognition; if unavailable, you can type instead. Crast processes audio during the session and does not save a recording file. Transcribed text enters the editor and is retained if you save the crast. If you enable iCloud, that text syncs like other notes. You can stop dictation or revoke permissions in iOS Settings. Keyboard dictation and third-party keyboards are separate services with their own terms.

Reminders

Reminders are optional local notifications scheduled by iOS at your chosen time while tasks remain pending. The daily notification does not include your note text. You can disable reminders in Crast or change permissions and presentation in iOS Settings.

Retention and deletion

Notes remain until you delete them or remove application data. Completing or letting go changes their status and retains information; it is not deletion. You can permanently delete a completed task from history after confirmation. With iCloud enabled, deletion propagates when devices sync and retains a technical marker without text, topic or accumulated time to prevent the task from reappearing. An offline device may keep a copy until it syncs. Deleting the app does not by itself remove the iCloud copy or Apple backups. Manage these separately in iCloud storage and backup settings. Disable sync on your devices first to prevent new uploads.

When you contact us

Support receives your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request and resolve issues. Avoid sending unnecessary notes or sensitive data. Processing is based on providing the service relationship where applicable and our legitimate interest in responding to questions and maintaining the app. Our email provider may process messages for delivery and storage. We keep them as needed for the enquiry and, where applicable, legal obligations or claims, then delete or restrict them as required.

Control and your rights

You can edit pending tasks, delete completed tasks and revoke optional permissions. This version has no general in-app export. To exercise rights over data processed by Kyd One Group, email hello@kydonegroup.com: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability where applicable. You may withdraw consent without affecting previous lawful processing and complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency or another competent authority. We cannot retrieve or edit notes by email when we have no access to your device or private iCloud database; we can help you find the relevant controls.

Updates

We will update this policy when features or data handling change. The date identifies the version. Changes requiring permission or consent will be presented before that processing is enabled; publishing a new policy does not replace that permission.
